About MLI

Philosophy
MLI will provide students with the English language skills they need to be
successful. In addition we will provide student services to help guide students
through their options and lead them to their goals. MLI will do all of this at a
cost designed to allow everyone access to a better education.

■MLI is authorized by the United States Department to accept international student (F-1 Student Visas)
issuing I-20’s through the US government SEVIS system
To study full-time in the USA you need a student visa, called an F-1 visa. Only a school that is registered with
the US State Department can accept you and help you obtain an F-1 visa. Mentor Language Institute has been accepting　F-1 visa students since 2002.

■All MLI teachers meet or exceed the requirements of the Bureau of Private Post-Secondary
Vocational Education of the State of California (BPPVE)
The State of California requires all English as a Second Language teachers to have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) years additional education and/or teaching experience. All Mentor Language Institute teachers
meet or exceed this requirement.Mentor Language Institute is able
to attract and keep some of the best teachers available.

■MLI’s curriculum has been approved by the BPPVE of the State of California
The State of California regulates and requires approval of all courses offered by the school, and of course all Mentor Language Institute courses have been approved.Mentor Language Institute employs a curriculum development team
of ten (10) academics who constantly update and add to our curriculum. Additionally we use our own
textbooks for the majority of our classes.
